It doesn't take long to notice Jacie Hoyt's allegiance to an NFL team.
Frequently on social media, the women's basketball coach for Oklahoma State and former standout from Kansas high school basketball shares her enthusiasm for the Kansas City Chiefs.
This week, she seized the opportunity to show her admiration for Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce when the Cowgirls hosted BYU on Wednesday night. During the game, OSU treated fans at Gallagher-Iba Arena to "Cowgirl Era" T-shirts and friendship bracelets, a playful nod to music superstar Taylor Swift, who reportedly began dating Kelce in 2023.
The black jacket distributed featured Kelce's No. 87 on the right front panel, while the back mimicked a standard football jersey with the nameplate and number. Jacie Hoyt credited Sierra Bone, the director of branding and influence for OSU women's basketball, for being the creative force behind the custom design.
In addition to their fashionable tribute, the Cowgirls delivered an impressive performance on the court, dominating BYU with a final score of 82-50 on Wednesday night. Looking ahead, they are set to host the formidable No. 11 Texas at 2 p.m. in Stillwater.
